LOW COST HOUSING UNITS
Urban Development Authority of the Government of Sri Lanka and JATA (Australia)
JWCC facilitates contract between the Urban Development Authority of the Government of Sri Lanka and JATA (Australia) to the value of US $43.9 million.
The end result of the work of JWCC was the signing of a MOU for the construction and development of 1,500 – 2,000 low cost housing units for the Government of Sri Lanka. Project currently awaiting the payment guarantee from the Sri Lankan Government department prior to proceeding.
The initial contract will be worth $43,900,000 which will comprise of 2,000 housing units built over a period of 3 years.

Project did not proceed as the terms of the Guarantee could not be agreed upon.
Design features incorporate considerations for aesthetics, eco-friendliness, energy efficiency, cost effectiveness, sustainable materials and technologies.
JWCC believes that this project will no longer proceed as the terms and conditions required by the parties have not been finalised.
